With delectable offerings in every cuisine category and even some highly acclaimed chefs, food enthusiasts from near and far are certain to find their cravings satisfied in Lancaster County.

Chefs

Locally Acclaimed Chefs

This Lancaster-born chef offers a presidential treatment right in our backyard! Chef John Moeller’s culinary journey spans from Johnson and Wales College to France (where he studied under acclaimed chefs such as two-star Michelin Chef Bernard Loiseau) and the White House. Ultimately, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue wasn’t quite close enough to home, so Moeller moved back to Lancaster and opened The Greenfield Restaurant & Bar. This historic home turned restaurant presents a selection of upscale menu favorites like filet mignon, crabcakes, and lobster. Plus, their expansive wine list ensures no meal goes without a perfect pairing.

Native to Pittsburgh, Chef Sean Cavanaugh has been in the restaurant industry since he was 15. Starting as a humble dishwasher, he eventually made it to the prestigious Culinary Institute of America. After graduation in 1985, he spent two years in Vail, until finally bringing his expertise back to his home state by opening John J. Jeffries in downtown Lancaster with Chef Michael F. Carson. John J. Jeffries proudly presents a menu of mouthwatering dishes composed of local, seasonal, sustainable, and organic produce and proteins.
