Brand to support points donation for free hotel rooms for wounded soldiers
Best Western International, the WORLD’S BIGGEST HOTEL FAMILY®, announced today that it has signed on as hotel sponsor of Hotels for Heroes.
Hotels for Heroes, which is an operation of the Fisher House Foundation and administered in partnership with the Department of Defense, accepts loyalty points donated from travellers and helps provide free hotel accommodations for returning soldiers receiving medical treatment and their families.
Best Western Rewards® members will now have another option for redeeming their rewards points, by donating them to the Hotels for Heroes program.
“Best Western Rewards customers are among the most loyal in the industry,” said Dorothy Dowling, senior vice president of marketing and sales, Best Western International. “We know their loyalty will translate into support for this program that serves our nation’s heroes in such a meaningful way.”
“The family members of our wounded heroes should never have to stress about the financial burden of travel,” said Dave Coker, president of Fisher House. “We are honored to help facilitate the process and are confident that the American public will help make this new program a success.”
Best Western Rewards members have the option of donating 2,500 or 5,000 points via the redemption section of the Best Western Rewards website at bestwesternrewards.com.
